Reduce the time you spend in the shower. Try having more showers then baths as showers use less water and are more efficient. Also switching the showerhead can also reduce your water usage.
Get a solar hot water system and take advantage of our very sunny climate by using the sun to heat your hot water. Put a booster on your hot water system.

Do not leave taps running. Turn your tap off when brushing your teeth instead of letting precious water run down the sink.

Fix leaks straight away. Check for leaks in toilet bowls where you can hear a constant trickle noise. It may be an indication you have a leak.

Use a dual flush toilet. This will can save up to 90 litres of water a day.

Rain water tanks are great for saving water. You can purchase different size tanks depending on your requirements.

Use water crystals to keep your plants and shrubs moist.

Use mulch to keep your garden beds moist and prevent the hot sun absorbing the water in the ground.

Plant water wise plants and natives which are suitable for you hot climate.

Plant shady trees which will offer relief from the hot sun.

Use a pool cover for your outdoor pool. This will stop the water from evaporating by up to 50%.
